The term "Jellyfish" is used to organisms in the subphylum Medusozoa. They are not fish, but free-swimming invertebrates that come in many different shapes and sizes. Typically there is some form of top section, called a bell, with tentacles or structures that hang below and can deliver a painful sting. Depending on the species, the stings can range from mildly irritating to severely dangerous.
