History
The Ice Dragon adapted to its northern environment over many generations, descending from wild Forest Dragons that lived further south. Movement of the Earth’s plates and a changing climate required many changes. Ice Dragons developed stronger wings for staying afloat in the cold air. They also adapted with smaller bodies, requiring fewer meals to keep up their energy. A bony, pointed tail allowed them to bust through ice and snow, while extra-long claws ensured traction in their slippery homes. Finally, Ice Dragons developed sensitive eyes that help them see better during the endless norther winters, so they could continue to stalk the land even in the dark.
