History
Even among usually reclusive dragons, Sea Dragons are an especially secluded species. They spend most of their lives in the water, where they can stay under for over an hour at a time. They do need to surface to breathe, and they can also crawl onto land and stay ashore for several hours. They are attracted to oar-powered ships especially, perhaps thinking the paddles are flippers of some helpless sea creature. Sea Dragons share the blame for countless shipwrecks throughout antiquity. As ships grew larger and were powered by sail, Sea Dragon attacks dropped. Only iron ships, however, are impervious to their attacks.
