HO Scale 55' Steel Coil Car - Burlington Northern #576234 (with load). Steel Coil Cars are specialized freight cars designed for carrying rolls of sheet metal for industrial use. Early examples first debuted in the 1960s, and today the cars are a common sight on freight trains across North America. Bachmann's 55' Steel Coil Car features removable coil hoods with detailed cradles beneath and six "steel coil" loads.
