The sander is of all plastic outer construction which fits well in the hand but is fragile if dropped onto a hard floor, especially some of the heads. The initial charge does take 6 hours.
The various heads require the user to apply the self adhesive sanding sheets which are pre-cut onto each applicable head which then fits onto a metal tongue in the sander.
You have two speeds, the slowest works quite well and the sanding strips are robust. The instructions are a little vague in regards to using the sander though.
